On December 17, 2023, the 6th China Summit Forum for Rule of Law in Aerospace Industry and 2023 International Symposium on Aviation Law and Space Law was held in Nanjing. The forum was sponsored by Aviation Industry Policy and Regulation Research Branch of China Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Aviation Industry Policy and Regulation Research Center of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (think tank of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), China Aviation Law and Space Law Research Institute of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the College of Humanities and Social Science of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and was co-organized by Nanjing Lawyers Association (Aerospace Industry Chain Legal Service Alliance) and Beijing Guantao (Nanjing) Law Firm. More than 100 participants, including scholars, lawyers, enterprise representatives, representatives of arbitral institutions and courts from China, the Republic of Korea, Japan and other countries and regions, attended the forum. The representative of HZAC was invited to attend the forum.

Professor Gao Zhihong, Dean of College of Humanities and Social Science of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, delivered the opening speech at the forum. Focusing on topics of Modernization of Rule of Law in Aviation, Development and Security of Outer Space, Aviation and Outer Space Disputes and Issues on Low-Altitude Flight, the experts and scholars shared ideas on application of domestic and international laws in the aerospace industry and discussed over legal risks in the development of aerospace industry and China's response to the risk, as well as how to improve the mechanism for resolving aerospace disputes.

At the round-table discussion on Aviation and Outer Space Disputes, Wu Yan, Secretary of General Affairs Division, introduced the special advantages of the arbitration system in resolving aerospace-related disputes. She also shared the development plan of HZAC in aviation arbitration from expanding international aviation arbitration market, selecting professional arbitrators for resolving aviation disputes, bettering up specialized platform, making further research on legal theory and practice of aviation arbitration.
