From September 12 to 16, 2024, the 2024 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) was grandly held in Beijing. Themed "Global Services, Shared Prosperity", the 2024 CIFTIS aims to promote the high-quality development of China's service industry and service trade and to jointly build an open world economy. The 2024 CIFTIS comprises Comprehensive Exhibitions and Thematic Exhibitions. As one of the arbitration institutions designated by the Ministry of Justice and the only participating arbitration institution from Zhejiang Province, HZAC made debut at the CIFTIS. HZAC set up a dedicated booth in the Legal Services Exhibition for the promotion of arbitration, share practical experiences in foreign-related legal services, showcasing the professional capabilities and achievements of HZAC in providing foreign-related legal services and advancing international commercial arbitration.

Led by Zhao Liang, Deputy Secretary-General of HZAC, several experienced personnels specialized in foreign-related arbitration and trade dispute resolution introduced the foreign-related arbitration services, professional arbitration team, and the unique advantages of Zhejiang and Hangzhou in the trade service to domestic and international exhibitors. The team also held in-depth discussions on the development and internationalization of arbitration, the important role of arbitration within the diversified dispute resolution mechanism and its role to serve China's major strategic initiatives. During the exhibition, HZAC participated in legal volunteer services, providing professional legal consultation.

In April 2024, HZAC officially hung out the shingle of Hangzhou Court of International Arbitration, which is committed to becoming a new platform with high-end elements for solving international disputes, exploring a new path for offering diversified solutions for international business disputes, boosting high-quality development of international arbitration based on high-level rule of law in international affairs, and becoming a pacesetter in opening-up with greater openness, better business environment and more extensive influence.

Leveraging the advantages of the CIFTIS platform, HZAC will continue to actively implement the spirit of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee. Guided by the goal of becoming a world-class arbitration institution, HZAC will press forward with the development of international arbitration, and enhance the quality, capability, and credibility of foreign-related arbitration service, contributing to the high-quality development of services trade and fostering a first-rate business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized.
