To thoroughly implement Xi Jinping Thought on the Rule of Law, promote the significant deployment of the CPC Zhejiang Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province regarding building Zhejiang into a strong province of transportation and a world-class port, support the development of the three "No.1 Projects", harness the safeguard functions of arbitration in advancing international shipping, aviation and logistics hub development, and make Hangzhou a preferred location for resolving international aviation and shipping disputes, HZAC has decided to establish the Hangzhou Court of International Aviation and Maritime Arbitration. The service details of this unit are as follows:

I.Since May 26, 2025, all aviation and shipping arbitration cases that meet HZAC's acceptance criteria will be accepted by the Case Filing Hall and handled by the Hangzhou Court of International Aviation and Maritime Arbitration. This change will not affect aviation and shipping arbitration cases that were previously accepted by HZAC.

III.The Hangzhou Court of International Aviation and Maritime Arbitration will specifically handle domestic and international disputes related to aviation and maritime, which mainly include:

(1)Aviation disputes, including but not limited to contractual disputes over air transportation of passengers and cargo, aircraft manufacturing, sales, maintenance, leasing, as well as contractual disputes related to airport construction, aviation logistics services, aircraft financial leasing, aviation insurance, airline agency and services;

(2)Shipping disputes, including but not limited to contractual disputes over maritime and inland waterway transportation of passengers and cargo, ship building, sales, repair, leasing, as well as contractual disputes related to port terminal construction, storage, financial leasing, insurance, shipping agency and services;

(3)Any other aviation and shipping disputes as the HZAC deems appropriate shall be handled by the Hangzhou Court of International Aviation and Maritime Arbitration.

IV.Apart from the above-listed commercial arbitration cases handled by the Hangzhou Arbitration Court of Intellectual Property, other commercial arbitration cases will remain to be handled in the same address.
